Our mission

SMI will work to advance the status of the Swedish motor industry, both nationally
and internationally. SMI will provide fast and accurate service to members who
thus have a competitive advantage over its competitors.

This is achieved by…

• maintaining good relations with the government and the EU parliament and other significant power authorities
• offering networking opportunities with key players in the motorsport industry
• creating business opportunities through meetings, seminars and participation in fairs
• adding strength and substance to the image of the Swedish motor industry in the international arena
• encouraging export
• working close with regional initiatives, such as Värmlands Motorsport and Motorsport in the region of Örebro. And to contribute to maximum exposure of these regional initiatives
• having a flexible service function and understand the member’s specific requests
• offering advice and support to young people who can imagine a future in the industry, and to keep close contact with technical colleges and universitie
